Although you will likely get a glimpse of the Pitons from the air when you land at Hewanorra International Airport on the south end of the island, the views from the ground are even better. Some visitors might be deterred by the strong sulpha aroma which is akin to rotten eggs, but those who take the plunge end up loving it. This tour also provides access to the picturesque Botanical Gardens with the gorgeous Diamond Waterfalls and, of course, the Pitons. For adventurers and active tourists, there is also the option of including the Gros Piton climb at a height of 2619 feet. This includes entrance fees, a seasoned guide, and bottled water. The climb can be done in approximately 4 hours for the roundtrip.
