by GO GlobeHopper

If you’re looking for an all-inclusive resort in Aruba, one that’s affordable and offers plenty of amenities, with the added bonus of taking the pandemic so seriously that you instantly feel safe upon arrival, we’ve got the place for you — Divi Aruba All-Inclusive.

It’s important to note that there are 5 Divi properties on the island  — Divi Village Golf & Beach Resort, Divi Dutch Village, Divi Aruba Phoenix, Tamarijn Aruba All Inclusive, and Divi Aruba All Inclusive, which shares dining and amenities with Tamarijn located next door.  However, for the purpose of the following review, we are focusing only on Divi Aruba All-Inclusive.

Judging by online reviews, many travelers are already aware of everything this resort has to offer and they give the 4-star property high marks for cleanliness, service, and value. Many people like it for its location and the helpful and professional staff. And many more adore the easygoing atmosphere. And now, for those of you that do not know about Divi Aruba, here’s the lowdown.

Located on mile-long Druif Beach, this attractive property offers a very relaxing ambiance but with dozens of amenities that allow guests to be as active or laid-back as they wish.

For starters, 261 comfortable guest rooms are spread across several low-rise buildings and feature air conditioning, a satellite TV, a mini-fridge, a digital safe, a Nespresso-style coffee machine, and free Wi-Fi. First-floor rooms have patios, upper floors include balconies. These rooms also offer five different layouts with a mix of different views, including beach, garden, and pool views depending on personal taste. Oceanfront suites contain much of the same but also include a master bedroom with an ensuite bathroom plus a secondary bedroom.  Renovations done in 2020 have assisted in updating some of the rooms with new furniture and upgraded bathrooms.

Given that Divi All-Inclusive shares dining options with Tamarijn All-Inclusive next door, it gives guests a whopping choice of 10 places to eat, as well as unlimited drinks at a total of 8 bars and lounges. Cuisine choices include Italian, Caribbean, Asian Fusion, Mexican, BBQ, and more, including 2 beachside bars and grills for good ole American hamburgers and hot dogs. The restaurants are visually stunning the food scores high with guests.

Guests can chill out on the beach or lounge by 1 of 4 freshwater pools. Some precious me-time can be spent at Sea, the resort’s own day spa.  Or they can take advantage of an ongoing list of facilities and features including a fitness center and fitness classes, rock wall climbing, tennis courts, and pool volleyball. For even more outdoor fun, there are several watersports to be found here, including snorkeling, kayaking, catamaran sailing, and windsurfing. If staying on land is more your thing, consider playing 9 holes of golf at The Links at Divi Aruba or hop over to Tamarijn to get a bike and enjoy a peaceful ride around the island. Basketball, beach volleyball, billiards, darts… the list goes on and on.  There are even nightly shows to enjoy so there is no shortage of things to do if you want to keep busy.

Event space is available for weddings, celebrations, and business affairs.

PROS:

Location
Cleanliness
Value
Plenty of Dining Options and the food is good
Lots of Amenities
The staff is helpful and friendly
Beach is clean

CONS:

Complaints are very few but the ones that exist seem to address issues that are beyond the resort’s control at the moment due to the pandemic, which isn’t entirely fair.  Other guests mention some of the rooms needing an update, and a desire for security on the beach to prevent guests from other hotels as well as locals from entering the property. However, some of these complaints also seem unwarranted considering Divi is already in the midst of updates.
