Review of Domes of Corfu, Greece

by GO GlobeHopper

Owned by Marriott, Domes of Corfu provides upscale accommodations set against the backdrop of pine and cypress-covered hills and with a view of sandy beach and the Ionian Sea.  This 4-star Greek resort has plenty to offer for couples and families, and scores high with guests in several categories, including location, cleanliness, service, and value.

The resort features 233 rooms divided into 14 different layouts—9 room styles for couples and 5 for families—each of which offers different amenities and a choice of mountain or sea views.  Rooms are clean and modern and decorated with handcrafted furniture.  Earth tones are combined with dusty rose accents for a splash of color.  Wi-fi is included in rooms and across all public spaces.

Four restaurants (with full board and half board options available) and four bars are located onsite.  Plus there are 12 more restaurants less than a kilometer away.  Additionally, guests will find 4 freshwater pools, plus a gym and SOMA Spa, for a variety of treatments at an additional cost.  A beauty salon is available for manicures and pedicures.  Also on site is a convenient mini market, laundry service, currency exchange, meeting rooms, and a library, plus medical assistance is available upon request.

Entertainment includes theme nights, a Greek Night, an olive oil tasting experience, a live DJ, plus BBQs and beach parties. Watersports are also available but are outsourced to local providers.

Mirtiotissa Beach is 700 m from the resort, and Kontogialos Beach is 1.2 km away. Corfu International Airport is 16 km from the resort, and the town of Corfu is 20 km away.
