Review of Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana

by GO GlobeHopper

For your next vacation, are you heading to the Dominican Republic? You need to read our review of Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana.

Are you looking for a high-end experience?  Does a resort that scores high with guests appeal to you?  If you answered yes to these questions, consider Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana for your accommodations, an all-inclusive resort situated on the turquoise waters of Juanillo Beach.  Cap Cana lies approximately 9 miles (14 km) from the more well-known region of Punta Cana.  At just a stone’s throw apart, travelers can easily access any attractions, activities, shopping, and golf courses that are commonly associated with Punta Cana.

Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana offers 40 acres of tropical fun with 375 clean and modern suites divided into 20 different layouts and views and includes swim-up suites.  Tastefully decorated with a colorful Caribbean vibe, all suites feature a furnished balcony or terrace, a flat-screen satellite TV, a safe, a minibar, and an iron. The rooms are spacious, very comfortable, well-maintained, and extremely clean.

There are six restaurants on the property, including a buffet (El Mercado) plus an Asian restaurant (Tempest Table), an Italian restaurant (Noodle & Thread), and a restaurant for Caribbean cuisine (Navigator Grill). Guests can eat clean at The Chinola or grab burgers and nachos at La Zizi, the infamous food truck located near the water park. Six bars and lounges including a swim-up bar are also available onsite.

The food at Hyatt Ziva is high quality and nothing less than delicious, with the buffet offering a wide range of choices. A nice option is that guests can walk to the Hyatt Zilara (adults-only) to experience their restaurants as well.

Hotel amenities are numerous, including but not limited to: daily activities such as gourmet cooking classes, Zumba, yoga, and dance classes, as well as themed pool parties.  There’s a games room; fitness center; and a waterpark, featuring a lazy river, slides, and water cannons.

The Larimar spa is simply spectacular and is definitely worthy of a post on Instagram.

A supervised ‘Kidz Club’ is available for youngsters and a Teen Club allows for 13-17 year-olds to hang out and experience virtual reality simulators, among other things.

Nightly entertainment in the outdoor amphitheater features music and dance and culturally-inspired performances.
