This family-friendly all-inclusive resort is located in Curacao‘s capital city of Willemstad. It sits directly on the largest resort beach in the region, near a celebrated diving site.
Most accommodations at Sunscape Curacao are basically the same but divided into categories of regular Deluxe and Sun Club Deluxe, and subsequently subdivided based on bed size (king or 2 doubles) as well as the view — garden or ocean. All feature a TV and access to wi-fi, a small table and chairs, climate control, a coffeemaker, an in-room safe, a hairdryer, an iron and ironing board, complimentary toiletries, and a balcony or terrace. Rooms are spacious and the decor is bright and cheery in Caribbean colors of lime and turquoise. However, the furniture is somewhat dated (the resort is in the midst of upgrades so only some rooms are complete at this time). Specialty suites such as Sun Club Junior Suite and Honeymoon Suites add the bonus of a sitting area with a couch, access to a private pool, and upgraded services.
The property features 7 bars and lounges (including a swim-up bar) and 6 restaurants, including a cafe for fast foods, an international buffet, and a la carte restaurants that feature specialty cuisines such as Italian, Asian, and seafood/Caribbean. Additional resort amenities include 4 pools, a rock-climbing wall, a kid’s club, a teen zone, tour operator and car rentals, a gift shop, medical facilities, laundry facilities, a fitness center, a spa and services, a beauty salon, an array of recreational facilities and non-motorized watersports. There is also a golf course nearby. Guests can look forward to an on-site casino and nightly entertainment. For couples seeking a destination wedding, the resort provides a beautiful venue.
Sunscape Curacao receives a mixed bag of feedback. For every positive review, there is also a negative one to match it. Many guests have praised the friendly and helpful staff, often saying they go above and beyond to help. Meanwhile, others complain of staff rudeness.
