International Drive in Orlando — aka I-Drive — is far more than a stretch of road between SeaWorld® Orlando and Universal Orlando Resort™. It’s a destination in its own right, packed with unforgettable adventures, dining, nightlife, shopping, entertainment and other activities, plus some of Orlando’s best hotels and resorts. Here are the Top 10 reasons you’ll want to visit this legendary district the next time you’re in Orlando!
Official Visitor Center
Making the most of your Orlando vacation begins with a trip to the destination’s Official Visitor Center, conveniently located in the heart of International Drive — and just as unique as Orlando itself! Take selfies with your favourite characters, get immersive sneak peeks of new attractions, and begin exploring the once-in-a-lifetime experiences waiting for you in Orlando.
Plus, if you have questions about your visit, our Vacation Guides will be happy to share planning advice and help you save big with discount attraction tickets. No wonder so many perfect Orlando vacations start at our Official Visitor Center!
No matter where you’re staying or playing on International Drive, you won’t have to look hard to find great restaurants, including many at area resorts. For instance, the AAA Four Diamond A Land Remembered and Cala Bella are part of the dining lineup at Rosen Shingle Creek.
More great eateries await at other Rosen properties in the I-Drive district, including Jack’s Place at Rosen Plaza and Everglades Restaurant at Rosen Centre, which join Spencer’s for Steaks & Chops and Fiorenzo Italian Steakhouse at Hilton Orlando, Urban Tide at Hyatt Regency Orlando, and others.
Don’t skip International Drive’s standalone restaurants, either! Standouts include Ciao Italia Italian Ristorante, Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse, Fogo de Chao Brazilian Steakhouse, Hanamizuki Japanese Restaurant, Joe’s Crab Shack, Seito Sushi, Vincenzo Cucina Italiana, and many others — including eateries at our all-in-one retail, dining and entertainment hubs. Speaking of which…
Formerly known as ICON Orlando, ICON Park’s signature attraction is The Wheel, but there are more ways to play at this walkable, outdoor venue. Once you’ve taken a ride on the 400-foot-tall observation wheel, go even higher — and faster — on the 450-foot-tall Orlando StarFlyer. You can also rub shoulders with A-list celebrities (including DC Entertainment’s Justice League) at Madame Tussauds Orlando, explore the wonders of the oceans at SEA LIFE Orlando Aquarium, get your game on at Arcade City Orlando, and survive virtual scares at 7D Dark Ride Adventure, among other ICON Park attractions. You can also eat at top restaurants like Tapa Toro Tapas Bar & Paella Pit, Yard House and Tin Roof, the latter of which hosts live music nightly. You can even stock up on souvenirs, vacation gear and more at ICON Park’s eclectic lineup of retailers.
This place has its own collection of world-class attractions, dining and shopping, plus some of International Drive’s most electric nightspots. They include Blue Martini and The Pub, as well as restaurants with live music such as B.B. King’s Blues Club and Lafayette’s Music Room.
At Pointe Orlando, You can enjoy more great dining, too, including Copper Canyon Grill, Cuba Libre Restaurant & Rum Bar, Itta Benna, Maggiano’s Little Italy, Taverna Opa and The Oceanaire Seafood Room, plus the all-new Hopdoddy Burger Bar and Lotus Asia House.
You won’t run out of things to do, either, thanks to WonderWorks and Main Event Entertainment and other fun attractions, as well as a wide range of shopping that includes national brands like Tommy Hilfiger and Victoria’s Secret.
The party never ends on International Drive — not with dynamic nightlife options up and down the strip! One of the most incredible is Mango’s Tropical Cafe, a two-story, 55,000-square-foot venue that lights up the night with live entertainment and dancing.
A duelling piano bar like no other, Howl at the Moon is another I-Drive hotspot, and when it’s time to cool down, nothing beats the chilly confines of ICEBAR Orlando. But the fact is, you’ll find lounges, nightclubs and more throughout I-Drive, including resort options such as 3NINE at Rosen Plaza, David’s Club at Hilton Orlando and others.
Fun Spot America
Orlando isn’t just home to the world’s greatest theme parks — we’re also home to the world’s greatest family amusement park, Fun Spot America!
With a second location in Kissimmee close to Walt Disney World® Resort, Fun Spot is packed with roller coasters and other thrill rides, kid’s rides, go-karts, and an arcade, ensuring hours of all-ages fun at wallet-friendly prices.
As with great dining and nightlife, you’ll discover one-of-a-kind attractions throughout the I-Drive area with adventures for every taste and budget. Feel the need for speed at Andretti Indoor Karting & Games or I-Drive NASCAR. Experience flight without jumping out of a plane at iFLY Orlando Indoor Skydiving. Explore out-of-this-world artifacts at Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Enjoy state-of-the-art bowling at Kings Dining & Entertainment. Or, just tee up at Topgolf Orlando and Pirate’s Cove Adventure Golf.
International Drive also offers ample opportunity to escape at attractions like The Escape Game Orlando, Escapology and Lockbusters Escape Game. And chocolate-lovers, take note: Chocolate Kingdom — Interactive Factory Adventure Tour will satisfy even the biggest sweet tooth!
Shoppers will want to wear comfortable shoes when they visit International Drive because the area offers miles of discount and luxury retailers.
For starters, you’ll find great brands at even better prices at the district’s two outlet shopping centers, Orlando International Premium Outlets and Orlando Vineland Premium Outlets. Plus, The Mall at Millenia and The Florida Mall are both a short drive away — not to mention all the sensational shopping at I-Drive’s walkable entertainment hubs and standalone retailers!
If you like a side of entertainment with your dinner, you’re going to love International Drive’s unique dinner shows. Families will particularly enjoy The Outta Control Comedy Magic Dinner Show at WonderWorks, especially as all the pizza, salad and beverages (including beer and wine) are unlimited!
More family-friendly dinner entertainment can be enjoyed at Sleuths Mystery Dinner Shows. And if you’re kid-free for the evening, legendary stage shows will have you dancing while you dine at Mango’s Tropical Café.
Tours and Transporation
The I-Drive district is big, and even though the core is extremely walkable, you’ll need a vehicle to get out and see all of it. That’s where International Drive’s tours and transportation options come in, including numerous excursions by bus and bike.
