What to Expect at Hilton Rose Hall, Jamaica — with video

by GO GlobeHopper

Travelers looking for an all-inclusive paradise in Jamaica can opt for Hilton Rose Hall Resort & Spa located in Montego Bay.

Spacious and modern rooms feature clean lines and a soft color palette of dusty blue and cream.  Despite that there appears to be a multitude of room and suite choices, the difference is mainly the choice of bed (2 Queen Beds or 1 King Bed) and the option of four different views: Oceanfront View, Partial Ocean View, Mountain View, and Resort View rooms, which overlook the landscaped courtyards and lawns. In-room features include pillow-top mattresses, a 27-inch flat-screen satellite television, in-room safe, individual climate control, and a coffee maker that serves premium Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee. Wi-Fi and rollaway beds can be accessed for an additional fee.  A spacious bathroom contains wide granite countertops and spa toiletries, and private balconies allow for relaxing with a view.

For guests requiring larger accommodations, there is an upgrade option to the Oceanfront Royal Suite at 1,110 sq. ft. or Prime Minister Suite at 2,220 sq. ft., both of which can accommodate up to five people. These suites contain separate bedrooms via connecting rooms, a kitchenette, a sitting area with a 42-inch flat-screen satellite TV, and a direct-dial telephone with voicemail.

A wide selection of restaurants gives guests a taste of Caribbean, Jamaican, Asian, Italian, and American-inspired flavors. Seaside Restaurant & Bar serves Caribbean-inspired dishes.  Rum Factory infuses local rum in the house-made cocktails and Jamaican cuisine to create an authentic dining experience. Moonstone/ Annie’s BBQ specializes in freshly made pizza during the day and barbeque options for dinner. Jerk Hut caters to casual lunches with the option to eat near the pool area, water park, or private beach. Fresh serves Caribbean and International morning and evening buffets near the resort’s main pool. For quick fare, visit Cricket Burger Bar for American Classics or Mangoes for sandwiches, salads, and tropical drinks. For Italian cuisine, Three Palms is available with lunch and dinner menus consisting of pizzas, soups, pasta, and wines. Stop at the Coffee Shop to enjoy a selection of juices, fresh brews, and delightful pastries. For bars and lounges and plenty of tropical concoctions, check out the open-air patio bar of Bar King Frog or Sugar Mill Falls Swim-Up Bar which is located in the water park.

Popular resort amenities accessible to visitors include a private beach, resort pools, watersports, and nightly entertainment. Four tennis courts and Cinnamon Golf Course both offer private lessons at a surcharge.  Radian Spa provides massage services (stone, aromatherapy, and deep tissue), skincare, scrubs and wraps, and a beauty salon. Guests can head over to Soothe Spa by the Sea to relax near the beach. Events, engagements, and wedding packages are also available onsite with several indoor venues as well as wedding gazebos on the resort’s lawns near the sea.

Sugar Mills Falls waterpark provides a multitude of fun-filled activities for guests with a 280-foot water slide, lagoons and waterfalls, three secluded whirlpools, a kids’ zone, daily live music, and private cabanas with a surcharge.

Exploring the island’s beauty from this resort is easy with several possible side trips including Dunn’s River Falls, plantation tours, rafting and hiking trips, and more.  To watch our video for the Top 10 Things to do in Jamaica (including the Montego Bay region), click here.
