The sparkling Caribbean waters and Mexican heat make Cancun a perfect destination for a beach vacation. Add the stunning adults-only resort of Hyatt Zilara Cancun and it is certainly the ultimate escape. Located in Cancun’s Hotel Zone, this beachfront resort offers its guests spectacular views of the ocean along with plenty of amenities. Here’s what to expect.
Although the hotel website makes it look like there is an abundance of accommodation types, most of the 310 rooms in the resort are classified as Junior Suites. What makes them different is the view, with the option of ocean view, oceanfront, or pool view, and the choice of one king or two double beds. Otherwise, they are basically the same. All suites are clean and spacious—653 square feet (61-square-meters) in size—with modern handcrafted furniture, an in-room jetted tub, patio furniture with a hammock, LED satellite TV, a safety deposit box big enough for a laptop, a work desk, and room service. Bathrooms feature double sinks, rain showerheads, and designer toiletries.
A step up from that is the Oceanfront Luxury King, where the room size increases to 758 square feet (71 square meters) but room features essentially remain. Premium suites include a split-level Swim-Up Suite, with a king-size bed and 100 more square feet than the Luxury King, and the Presidential Penthouse Suite, which accommodates guests looking for a grand experience. This suite is 1330+ square feet and offers a separate living and dining room area, plus an expanded terrace. Connecting rooms is also an option. Upgrade eligibility for a Swim-Up or Presidential Suite can be arranged via the World of Hyatt Loyalty Program.
This all-inclusive adults-only property includes six different restaurants with a range of cuisine, plus a cafe, a lounge, and two bars. Spice, the international buffet, is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. For coffee, smoothies, pastries, gluten-free options, and more, guests can enjoy Casa del Café. When it comes to a la carte restaurants, Hyatt Zilara offers Punta Vista (previously Pelicanos) for Caribbean seafood with an ocean view. For fine dining, visit the upscale Maria Marie for authentic Mexican cuisine. Cantina La Adelita also serves Caribbean seafood and Mexican options along with signature cocktails. For contemporary cuisine and Teppanyaki cooking shows, Asiana serves up gourmet Asian options. Five-course gourmet cuisine prepared by executive chefs at Chef’s Plate is exclusive for guests staying in Premium Suites (Ocean View Swim Up Suite King and Presidential Suite). For an additional cost, guests in all other suites can enjoy the experience as well.
An assortment of Mexican tequilas and other alcoholic beverages can be sipped on the swing seats or with views of the Caribbean Sea at the Tequileria Beach Bar. The Time Out lounge offers hors d’oeuvres and drinks to enjoy at any time of day with pool tables and other games. Views of the Caribbean Sea can be enjoyed through the main lobby at Lobby Bar, offering a variety of alcoholic drinks along with an infinity pool and nightly music. For an extra fee, private dining experiences can be arranged for a candlelit dinner on the beach or in oceanfront gazebos. Private dining rooms can also be reserved.
The all-inclusive experience includes nonstop fun in a variety of ways. Enjoy the beachfront infinity pool, the lap pool, the swim-up bar, and dual-temperature hot tubs, or lounge under the canopy-covered cabanas. Get active with daily outdoor activities such as ping-pong and non-motorized water sports options. Try fitness training at Sky Gym and yoga on the beach, or for an extra fee, visit Spa and Beauty for services like hydrotherapy, polar pool, whirlpool bath, herbal steam room, and more.
Nightly shows, such as mariachi bands, and aerial and acrobatic acts are performed in the atrium. Wedding packages are also available. For more information, visit Hyatt Zilara Cancun HERE.
