Located in La Romana, in the Dominican Republic, the Viva Wyndham Dominicus Beach resort originally opened in 1987 and recently re-opened with a major renovation plus new health and safety measures in place in response to the pandemic.
The transformation of this all-inclusive family-friendly resort includes newly remodeled guest rooms, an updated lobby and nature-inspired common areas, a makeover of the on-site restaurants and bar, as well as entertainment and swimming/sunbathing areas.
Viva Wyndham Resorts has heightened its standards for hygiene and health and has implemented extra recommendations and guidelines put forth by the World Health Organization and additional health authorities in an effort to help stop the spread of Covid-19
Guests are welcomed with an updated lobby experience, followed by an introduction to the modernized standard and superior guest rooms.
These transformed accommodations offer a spacious and standard layout. The decor is minimalist and features shades of cream and brown with bright green accents that add a splash of island color. Guests have their choice of garden or ocean views.
Viva Wyndham Dominicus Beach now features four swimming pools that include a saltwater infinity pool with stunning views of the beach and turquoise waters of the Caribbean Sea. Two additional pools are available in the children’s area.
Resort dining has been increased and restructured to include the latest technology. The new open-air Latin Fusion restaurant offers guests a-la-carte cuisine, while Viva Mexico, La Pizzeria, and the buffet restaurant known as La Terraza all now feature fresh and innovative decor.
The brand-new Tiki Bar, which can be found near the infinity pool, allows guests the opportunity to kick back and relax in swing seating under a thatched-roofed area.
The resort’s landscaping has also been updated with lush plant life and coral stonework. The entire property underwent a successful facelift to welcome travelers back.
