Atlantis The Palm, Dubai is the well-known sister property to Atlantis Bahamas on Paradise Island. They look very similar in many respects and feature similar amenities. But they are not the same.
This is an upscale 5-star resort that regularly scores between 4 and 5 stars from reviewers with respect to location, room cleanliness, interactions with hotel staff, and facilities and services. It is set on the furthermost edge of Palm Island which connects to the mainland by a bridge. However, the hotel also features a helipad for guests arriving by air.
The hotel is NOT all-inclusive. However, meal plans are available that include just breakfast, or a half-board plan featuring 2 meals a day (breakfast, with the second choice of lunch OR dinner). Otherwise, guests can pay-as-you-go with plenty of restaurant and cafe options to choose from, including a daily breakfast buffet, 20 restaurants, 3 bars and lounges, a swim-up and poolside bar, 24-hour room service, and coffee & tea in all common areas.
Accommodations come in a dizzying array of rooms and upgraded suites with different sizes and layouts, all with a Dubai city view, or a view of the ocean. Most rooms and suites come with a king-size bed or 2 queens (2-bedroom suites feature both), a 60-inch LED TV, satellite channels, blackout drapes, air purifier, a desk, free newspaper, minibar, coffeemaker, iron, bathrobes, rainfall shower heads, designer toiletries, hairdryer, and free wi-fi. Among the most expensive of accommodations are the Presidential Suite and the famed Poseidon Underwater Suites with floor-to-ceiling views of coral reefs and marine life.
Additional hotel amenities are a never-ending list that includes free valet parking, 2 outdoor pools and a children’s pool, tennis courts and lessons, beach cabanas, a business center, a fitness center, spa and services, a hair salon, a kid’s club, babysitting services, an arcade room, recreational facilities, gift shop, on-site tour operators, wedding services, laundry facilities and dry cleaning, an ATM and banking services, and the famed Aquaventure Waterpark.
