With 900 rooms to choose from, the hotel’s thematic aesthetic contains a modern design. Guests of Planet Hollywood Cancun can choose from a variety of suites, including Junior, Junior Swim Out, Entourage, and Director’s Suite, along with the option to choose 1–3 bedrooms. For a higher price point, Star Class suites are available with additional perks such as concierge services, a private pool with food service, the Green Room lounge, an upgraded mini-bar, and complimentary access to hydrotherapy. Something to consider is that Star Class members are given one free day for every 3 nights booked. Plus, guests can select their room location if they have a preference. Star Class pools (a family and an adult pool) can be accessed by Star Class guests only.
Suites are equipped with blackout drapes, designer toiletries, a private bathroom, cable and premium TV channels on a flat-screen TV, as well as 24-hour room service, free bottled water, and a minibar. Other amenities include an iron and ironing board, laptop-compatible safe, turndown service, wardrobe closet, and garden or ocean views. With a variety of room amenities, the resort provides its guests with a 4-star experience.
This beach resort also has an adults-only section, called Adult Scene, specifically for guests 18+. This section of the property contains 300 rooms and suites. However, for visitors considering booking their stay in this part of the complex, it is important to note that most of the amenities and entertainment are located in the family section. This includes a spa and fitness center, boot camp, yoga, kickboxing, and Zumba classes. Guests can also access basketball, volleyball, and mini-golf. Planet Play contains an arcade and trampoline park and is offered for an additional fee.
Also on the property is a kids’ splash pad, a lazy river with a swim-up bar, and non-motorized water sports such as kayaks, paddleboards, jet skis, and parasailing, which can be accessed for a fee. A simulated surf machine called Flow Rider is also available for an additional fee.
As for culinary experiences, Planet Hollywood features 11 restaurants, including So Cal Gourmet Emporium (buffet), Guy Fieri’s Burger Joint, East Sushi & Teppanyaki Bar (Japanese cuisine), Gusto Italian Trattoria (Italian cuisine), La Cocina (Mexican cuisine), Sutra Restaurant & Hookah Lounge (for a touch of Bollywood and Indian cuisine), and Sunset Strip Steakhouse & Grill (steakhouse with a Hollywood atmosphere).
