For travelers looking to spend time in Montreal, we highly recommend Loews Hotel Vogue among our top-of-the-list destinations. Consistently rated high by guests, there are plenty of pros and very few cons associated with staying here.
To start, Lowes Hotel Vogue is centrally located in an area of Montreal known as the Golden Square Mile – a district that’s alive with history and bold architecture. The area also contains much in the way of dining and shopping and is close to Mont-Royal and the Bell Centre, a massive auditorium that hosts sports and entertainment opportunities. As such, guests will find that much of what they need or want to see is within walking distance.
The hotel itself is stylish and sophisticated yet welcoming and comfortable. It supplies guests with hot beverages available in the self-serve coffee lobby bar and free wi-fi available throughout the property.
Vogue offers 142 oversized guest rooms of which 16 are suites. Rooms are pleasant, spacious, and comfy, with modern furnishings in a unique gray, silver, and cream color palette that’s simply stunning yet easy on the eyes.
Suites differ somewhat, adding plum and purple accents to the sizeable living areas. Marble bathrooms contain jetted soaker tubs as well as TVs for those that wish to relax after a long day of shopping or sightseeing.
Onsite dining options include La Société Bistro, an upscale restaurant and lounge located on the main floor, with the option of indoor dining or a seasonal patio. The restaurant features contemporary North American cuisine with a delightful French twist. Also on the main floor is a small lobby bar called Lux Lounge for unique and inspiring cocktails infused with herbs. In-room dining is also available and gets rave reviews from guests.
With 6500 square feet of functional space available, the hotel also contains conference rooms and ballroom facilities, as well as a gorgeous garden terrace on the second floor. This space is perfect for a wedding reception or business gathering with a view of the city. Dry cleaning and shoe shine services are available, along with currency exchange, a fitness center, and valet parking.
PROS: First and foremost on the list, the staff. They are helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly and will go the extra mile to make your stay a pleasant one. The location is excellent. The hotel is modern, clean, and well maintained. Rooms and suites are attractive, clean, and comfortable. The option of a suite is handy if traveling with family or friends. Rates are reasonable. Loews is a well-respected brand.
CONS: Onsite dining is limited and undoubtedly expensive, so guests might be wise to walk to St. Catherine Street for other options. Also in the costly category is the valet parking per day. Without a self-park option, this can significantly boost the price of a multi-day stay.
