Review of Hotel Pullman Tour Eiffel – Paris

by GO GlobeHopper

Situated across from the Eiffel Tower, on a quiet side street is the Hotel Pullman Paris Tour Eiffel. This 4.5-star hotel offers breathtaking views of the city, along with top-notch amenities, and great service. A full fitness facility, as well as a business/meeting center, are on-site. This hotel also offers private event services, making it an excellent place for a beautiful wedding. Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel and is free of charge (although to be honest, it can be very patchy at times).

On the property is FRAME, a creatively designed eatery offering casual, international fare with an average price of 40EUR per person (starter + main OR main + dessert). Some ingredients in the dishes found on the menu are grown on-location in the lovely herb garden that some rooms overlook.  Located next to FRAME brasserie is La Vinoteca, a modern bar with a wide selection of international wines by the glass or by the bottle.

Keep in mind that Hotel Pullman Paris is far from cheap, however, it is competitively priced with other hotels of similar star status and amenities. Nightly rates depend on the season and which room type you select. For a week-long vacation, this can add up very quickly, but be assured that it is worth the price taking into account the comfortable, spacious rooms and the prime location. However, booking can become confusing as the hotel features 7 different room types.  It’s best to be aware of the room and the view you desire before you book as it can be difficult to upgrade after you have arrived.

All seven of the aforementioned rooms have a modern design and color scheme of white and gray with muted blue accents. More affordable rooms such as the Classic Suite and Family Suites do not have views of the Eiffel Tower but are smaller in square footage. On the other end of the spectrum, the Eiffel Suites, Trocadero Suites, and Deluxe Suites offer spectacular views of the Eiffel Tower from the balcony and are much larger in size, some of which even feature living rooms. In the mid-price point range lies the Superior Suites and Junior Suites, both of which feature obstructed views of the Eiffel Tower and do not have balconies.

During our stay, we found the rooms to be especially clean with crisp white linens on surprisingly comfortable beds. The pillows are soft and plush and there are plenty of power outlets throughout the room. To make charging easier, most outlets are near the beds and are accepting of American plugs.  The rooms are soundproof so hallway and elevator noise cannot be heard which allows guests to get a great night’s sleep.

To be fair, we did encounter a problem with the thermostat as the room temperature would not regulate and was incredibly hot. All rooms are equipped with a 40″ flat-screen TV and a minibar with a coffee maker. The bathroom was also incredibly clean and had a luxurious design with lots of counter space.

PROS: Great location. Clean rooms with amazing views. English-speaking staff.

CONS: Room temperature is hard to regulate (it is either too hot or too cold). During peak season, the hotel can be very crowded with long lines at the front desk. While the front desk and other personnel have great customer service skills, the management staff can be rude and dismissive. Slow Wi-Fi

Overall, we think the Hotel Pullman Paris Tour Eiffel is a great place to stay while vacationing in Paris. If you don’t mind spending the money, you will definitely enjoy the modern rooms and the view.  And if staying during the off-peak season, you’re likely to encounter better customer service.
