It also offers an extensive variety of accommodations, including some upscale resorts.  Here are our picks for the top ten, in no particular order.

North Beach Resort and Villas

Located on 7.5 acres, North Beach Resort and Villas is an impressive resort with exterior architecture and interior luxury that looks like it would fit nicely in Dubai.

North Beach offers cottages, villas, and 1,2,3,4, and 5-bedroom condos – 5 is a rarity in Myrtle Beach. The crowning glory is the 7-bedroom, 7-bathroom condo found on the bridge of the resort that sleeps up to 20 people. Travelers are assured of gorgeous furnishings and decor, upscale amenities, and beautiful beachfront views.  The resort features a 2.5-acre waterscape of pools, spas, a lazy river, a swim-up pool bar, and private cabanas. Guests can dine at 21 Main, the resort’s premier steakhouse and sushi bar, or kick back and relax at Cinzia Spa.

 

Mariott’s OceanWatch Villas at Grand Dunes

This upscale property offers guests 2-bedroom villas with a choice of garden, oceanside or oceanfront views. Each unit features 1 king and 2 queen beds, a separate living space with a sofa bed, 3 flatscreen satellite TVs, a full kitchen and dining space, as well as a furnished balcony.

The beautifully landscaped property of Marriott’s OceanWatch Villas at Grand Dunes contains oceanfront pools, an indoor pool and hot tub, a fitness center, a putting green, shuffleboard, volleyball, and a kid’s playground.  Onsite dining includes The Sand Dollar grill, two pool bars – one of which also has a grill – and a convenience store for snacks, drinks, and sundry items. Starbucks coffee is also available.

 

Marina at Grand Dunes

This Mediterranean-inspired 2200-acre resort features peaceful seclusion while overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway. Though the resort is not an oceanfront property, the beach is not far away with a shuttle that takes guests to a private location complete with chairs, umbrellas, towels, and lifeguards.

Guests of the Marina at Grand Dunes can enjoy a tennis court is on-site, as well as a lobby bar. Oversized guest rooms, as well as 1-4 bedroom layouts, are available with modern decor, upscale linens and bath products, lighted makeup mirrors, and bathrobes. Terraces overlook the water. Onsite dining includes Starbucks, the Anchor Cafe, and WaterScapes for an upscale experience.

 

Island Vista Resort

Island Vista gives guests the feeling of being on a private, laid-back island.  This all-suite resort provides guest rooms that sleep 2 – 4 people, as well as 1, 2, 3, and 4-bedroom suites featuring British West Indies decor and plenty of space.

The bigger the suite the more amenities guests will find, such as 8-10-person dining rooms and Jacuzzi tubs. Terraces feature oceanfront views. Resort amenities include three indoor and outdoor pools, indoor & outdoor hot tubs, and a children’s area styled in an ancient ruins theme.  This includes a lazy river ride, tunnel, waterfall, and kids’ splash area.  Also in the poolscape is a tiki bar & café, poolside wireless internet, a large grassy tanning lawn, an oceanfront veranda, a tiki deck, an oceanfront massage cabana, and towel service. Dining facilities are also available onsite.

 

Ocean 22 by Hilton Grand Vacations

Ocean 22 by Hilton Grand Vacations is a contemporary resort that features 1- and 2-bedroom suites. Each comes equipped with a balcony, Wi-Fi access, a separate living room with a pull-out sofa and flat-screen TV, a fully equipped kitchen, and a washer/dryer.

Resort features include indoor and outdoor pools with a poolside bar, hot tubs, a fitness center, and a business center.

A quick-service deli is also located on the property for pastries, sandwiches, and salads.

 

Oceans One Resort

Inspired by the ocean for its interior and exterior design, Oceans One Resort is located at the foot of the boardwalk. Outside, the resort boasts a large, cascading wave down the side of its all-white structure.  Inside, 1- 3 bedroom suites are spacious and modern, offering king beds in the master suite, double beds in additional bedrooms, plus a sofa bed in the living area.

Upscale amenities and multiple closets are a nice touch, as are jacuzzi jets in the bathtub and an additional oceanfront balcony available in 3-bedroom suites. Floor-to-ceiling windows in every unit of this resort provide spectacular views of the ocean. Pool features include a splash zone for the kids as well as a lazy river ride, indoor and outdoor whirlpools, and waterfalls that empty into indoor and outdoor pools.

 

Avista Resort

Travelers can choose between one, two, or three-bedroom oceanfront or oceanview condos of varying square footage. These come with a separate living area with a sofa bed, a fully equipped kitchen, and a private balcony.

Avista Resort amenities include oceanfront pools, a lazy river, hot tubs, and indoor pool features as well.  There’s also a fitness center, a sports bar called the Treetop Lounge, karaoke, and a convenience store for snacks, sundries, and souvenirs.  An onsite restaurant called Just Off Main offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner, plus there is the Sip and Dip pool bar.

 

Dunes Village Resort

This complex offers a wide variety of rooms and suites, including 1, 2, and 3-bedroom layouts capable of sleeping up to 10 guests.  Modern and spacious accommodations include a separate living area, a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, and a washer/dryer, plus there is a TV in every bedroom and the living area.

Dunes Village Resort amenities include an indoor waterpark, whirlpools, an oceanfront pool, a lazy river ride, a fitness center, and a kid’s club.  Plus, there is a spa onsite and dining options that include a sit-down restaurant, a café, a coffee shop, and a tiki bar.

 

Anderson Ocean Club and Spa

This oceanfront hotel is located in the heart of the Grand Strand and offers 1, 2, and 3-bedroom condo-style suites that include a full kitchen and a washer/dryer. Guests have access to indoor and outdoor pools, a lazy river, hot tubs, and an oceanfront bar.

Additional amenities at Anderson Ocean Club and Spa include a fitness center, on-site dining options, and the Awakening Spa for facials, massages, and other treatments.  This family-friendly resort also offers a kids’ activity program and unlimited mini golf at Lost Mine Miniature Golf located across the street.

 

Embassy Suites by Hilton Myrtle Beach Oceanfront 

This hotel is part of the Kingston Resorts complex, which gives guests access to Currents Waterpark and six pools, plus Spa33 and a fitness center. It also offers a free made-to-order breakfast and complimentary drinks at an evening reception.

Accommodations at Embassy Suites by Hilton Myrtle Beach include 255 guest rooms including 2-room suites with two flat-screen TVs, a refrigerator, a microwave, and a desk and chair.

Additional amenities include tennis, a business center, a concierge, and EV charging.
